EVERARD READ GALLERIES

Its sixth gallery, Everard Read Franschhoek, in partnership with Leeu Collection, is a considered space showing the best modern and contemporary artworks by southern African artists. Adjacent to Le Quartier Français, the gallery includes a sculpture garden for monumental works interspersed with herbs and vegetables, the first of its kind in South Africa. The fresh produce from the garden features on the menus of the Leeu Collection’s restaurants.

Everard Read Gallery at Leeu Estates in Franschhoek augments the existing gallery in the high street of Franschhoek, next to Le Quartier Français. The focus is on showing monumental sculpture in the breathtaking fynbos and vineyards of Leeu Estates and exhibiting important works by our artists in the purpose-built gallery on site. The Fynbosch quarter, where the gallery is located on the farm, benefits from the immaculate finishes that show the art to its best advantage while offering glimpses of the spectacular natural environment that surrounds Leeu Estates.
